They play in SoCal a lot...a lot of shows at the Anaheim House of Blues.Slugman said:I'm jelaous!
The last time I saw them I was in college, and that was... a long time ago.
Do oyu know if they are coming down this way (SoCal)?
I haven't seen em in years and I'm super stoked to go. But I just got my hand out of a cast and I'm wondering if I should at least wrap it with an ace wrap...the pits get pretty crazy at Social D shows and the place where it is (the Catalyst in Santa Cruz) is a place that for some reason...everyone loves to fight at...there are always fights there...Place is cool though...I saw Sublimes second to last show there...SWEEEEET!crash13 said:lucky you. i love that band but i haven't been able to see them live yet. they were here a while back but the show sold out in 10 minutes . i hear there suppose to have a new album coming out in september, i can't wait for that.
well be careful with that wrist. i don't go into the pits anymore. guess i'm getting to old . i went and seen mike ness's solo band a couple of years ago and that was an awesome show. i'd love to see social d though. let me know how the show is.dh girlie said:I haven't seen em in years and I'm super stoked to go. OH Not that I get into brawls but I have been slammed a time or two standing on the outskirts of a pit or being in the line of fire of a crowd scattering to get outta the way of a fight.

I have seen them 3 times. Pretty much the case with me too. Since nobody ever seems to come here anymore I gotta drive and it sucks to see the same show as the last time. I like them but I feel no need to see them again......jdcambMikeD said:You know, I love Social D, but it's the exact same show every time I see them....same schtick, same set list. Seeing Mike Ness solo was pretty different and refreshing, but at this point, I feel like I might as well just sit at home and listen to Live at the Roxy really loud instead of bothering to go out and see them.
This may all be because I've seen them too many times, though.

Who did they play with? I heard they're touring with Tiger Army this fall/winter. I've seen SD a couple of times, so I'm not too excited about them, but I really want to see Tiger Army.dh girlie said:Show was awesome!!!
did they play any new songs? and if they did were they any good. you californians are lucky, you get to see SD whenever you want. they hardly ever come to washington.dh girlie said:Show was awesome!!! Tenille lost her shoes in the pit! I didn't sustain any injuries or lost shoes in the pit...but I guess some guy shoved her and her shoe went flyin off...then when she tried to hone in on it, someone kicked it and it was all over from there. Then she left the club (unbeknownst to me) and thought she might find a place where she could purchase shoes nearby at 11:30 on a Monday night...surprisingly enough, she did not...so she RAN back to the hotel to get her flip flops and ran back. Funny thing is...before we left for the show she was telling me how she'd lost her shoes at a Pennywise concert last year...
