Yet another police discussion

Hey manimal,

What do you think of the stickers sold by police unions, you know, "Police protect and serve", Vermont Police Association, PBA, that sort of thing?

I generally support the police, but I have regarded these stickers as marginally intellectually dishonest - "I contributed to the association, don't give me a ticket, please" seems to be implied.

Your comments? Others?

I had a friend that got ticketed for impersonating an officer for having such a sticker. At least that is what she told me, she was a little bit extremely insane.

I have a question for manimal as well...I have the utmost respect for law enforcement...however, I do have to admit I like the nwa song f*** the po-lice, f*** the po-lice, f*** em! Not necessarily supporting what they say...I just like the song...now...manimal...do you like the song? Can you look past the content for the entertainment value? I've always wondered if some police officers like that song or resent it...

Oh man, I am havin the best donut right now.

:p

I had a friend once who recieved some "promo" materials from the KKK once. (We don't know how they got his address, we think it was the same friend that signed me up to be a porn actor) So we're leaving Denny's late on night when these two cops come in. They have that holier than thou attitude and practically push us out of their way as we pass through the door.

So my friend goes to his car, gets the big "I support the KKK" stickers and places two of them on the bumper of the cop car. :D (it was funny at the time)

Cop Killer by Bodycount (aka Ice-T) being another example. Saw Ice Cube do it live at lollapalooza. (not kill a cop but sing the song).

My dad was a cop and he told me that unless she is good looking and knows how to manipulate a baton, the stickers are useless.

I got a ticket back in the 80's when I was in college for having a
"SH!T HAPPENS"
Bumper Sticker, it was said to be vulgar and obscene, so I removed the decal, paid the $45 bucks, found another sticker to put in it's place, the new one said......
"FECES OCCURS"
Never got pulled over for that one, so I guess it's not what you say just how you say it that can get you int trouble.....

man you all is slow

-I was driving
-state boy pulls me over for no seatbelt
-I look up infraction code listed on ticket
-the code refered to a law about individuals 4 years or younger not having to wear a selt belt (because they are suppose to be in a kids seat thingy)
-I pleasd not guilty and request supporting deposition
-I did not rx sup. dep.
-I go to court, state boy calls me in, I point out I did not rx a sup. dep, and the infraction was for individuals under 4
-He says he doesnt bother to right a supporting depositions, and he will tear up my ticket and issue me a new one with the correct seat belt infration and we can go to trail about it.
