The difference between DRIVING vs RIDING a two-wheeled transport is more than just semantics.

I see people DRIVING bikes all the time. I see many HD "bikers" around here drive their bikes. And if it takes you longer to get dressed up in your leathers than you'll be on your bike, you're a poser.

So, if I am on my "two-wheeled transport" that has a motor installed on it, I am driving. If I am on a similiar transport device that has no motor, I am riding?

No doofus, he's saying that you can't hear Jimmy.

He's saying you suck at riding so bad what you do shouldn't be called riding. Get it?

And if your on your bike (motorcycle, chopper, crotch rocket, pofwer horse, ect.) for longer that it took you to get dressed then what does that mean?

As are most honda cruiser styles, Thats why you go and upgrade your exhaust and rejet your carb, Huge difference.
The V4 Magnas were not underpowered, especially the old V65s. My '95 Magna blows doors on just about any V-Twin cruiser that's on the road and it actually corners too.

Magna's are in high demand out here. They seem to sell for over book value consistently. A friend is asked regularly to sell his by total strangers.

Youll Notice i said "MOST" in my reply, honda has always left room for quick improvements on there power. And with a few Mods you would be suprised how much more you can get out of your Magna.

I know, it's a VFR750 with a little more style. If it aint broke, I'm not going to fix it. My insurance company frowns on mods, though if something did break and one or more of those mods could replace a broken part, I'd do it. Right now I'd rather spend my money on bicycles and trips to ride.

How the phuck do you know my skill level on a motorcycle? I've ridden dirt bikes for over 30 years and street bikes for over 20. I don't just ride on the weekends. For almost 3 years, my ONLY form of transportation was a motorcycle and I don't live in the most bike friendly climate. I have ridden in snow and sub-freezing temperatures many times because I had no choice.

as good as a RIDER you are, you're as bad in reading comprehension.

Chang wasn't saying you specifically, but the generalized you, meaning whomever the statement happens to apply to.

Just like my comment about riding vs driving wasn't applicable to you, but anyone who drives a bike is a poser... or just using the bike to get from point A to B. But anyone who drives a bike really shouldn't be on the roads as they're a danger to themselves and anyone around them.

No, I get what you are saying, but don't include me in your generalizations. Your opinion is based on what? Maybe a handful a people that you have seen on motorcycles? Maybe some of those people have found something that they truly enjoy (riding motorcycles) and they learning. Its no different than riding bicycles. There are people out there who are just getting into it and are really not safe to ride, but they have no choice. You have to learn somewhere.

Hey Potroast88, where are you in your hardtail project? I want to see that bad boy finished!
I'll take some pics this afternoon. I am finishing machining the top motor mount today and I am turning front wheel spacers. I changed the front end from the wide glide to the stock Buell front end because its a White Bros. inverted fork with 54mm tubes.

I have a White Bros. inverted fork on my Husaberg, it's the sweetness. One of the reasons I keep looking at the Ducati Monster is that bad ass Marzocchi fork.

Did you say you were running spokes, or the sweet Buell mags with HUGE front rotors?

Ha i have to laugh, about everyone saying sho sucks at riding and them defending themselves, I have been riding Motorcycles and dirt bikes and been in love with being on two wheels for as long as i can remember. Two weeks from this coming thursday i am taking my MOtorcycle Basic safety coarse, and i for one belvie i am a good ridier, and strongly belive even being a good rider, i will learn ways to become a better rider with this class. No reason not to take it, even if you have been riding for a very long time.

I took my first MSF course in 1983 as a requirement to ride on base while in the USAF. SInce then, I have taken the course three more times. All of my siblings ride and one brother is a MSF certified instructor. My sister and I are going to take the advanced course this Summer. One needs to know (or be reminded) what the hell they are doing.
