Feeling a sizable sense of FOMO with this. Didn't you already purchased and prepare land near @Toshi 's parents ?
yep, just waiting on permits and DEQfor up there,

Not FOMO but an investment and I dont like to wait on things and do the work myself, its kinda what I do to build the portfolio.

the county's process is very bureaucratic and convoluted for that property on the hill, Building this place to get out of the shitty and expensive rental I am currently in and then will be able to sell it once the other property is built. Nothing more than a money maker spec house type of development. The local city issues permits within a day so I can effectively move into this place in town within a month or two. The county is still "unknown" for a permit delivery for the property on the hill.

Why they no likey housey on hilly?
they took 4 months to rezone from forest to residential, then they took 3 weeks to consolidate the lots, it took 2 months for the water board to record the well, DEQ is slowed to nearly a halt since the only inspector in the county died 4 weeks ago and it's taking a while for them to catch up for the septic permit and they are going to take another 6-8 weeks for a building permit process. I can develop a property in the time they get me a permit for the hill

FOMO was mostly me. :D
Sadly, haven't had much time to peruse the monkey.

def podunk, the lot in town is in city limits so permits are a snap and no real hoops like the county, for me the city lots are a win win. maybe a total 220k investment, move in and drop $2600ish in rent and storage unit costs, and flip it when done for 600-700k

I laid down on a cardboard tube this AM and rolled out my lower back. I'll be damned if I didnt feel a sharp pop and instant relief. Now just sore as a mofo. Maybe I need yoga.

I have no idea where I am
Worked on the plan for flipping up to Maine this morning. Took a two nap then went for lunch followed by more doing not much of anything. Tomorrow I have to catch a bus to Walmart and the grocery store to get 8-9 days of food.

Surprised GFF doesn't already have one

Dig the tech and have been following it after we got a confined space unit with mecanum wheels for the fire dept, it was based on thermal and hazmat platforms, and had fun working with it but I have not seen any large industrial applications such as forklifts yet to the industries.

The only issue weve ran into with the tech is they dont do too well on any surface other than flat and has some issues with traction due to the PSI of the contact patch being so small. I am sure DARPA will have a solution soon if not already
