GG allen! The king of disgust. I have the MaximumR&R amg with the picture of him in his coffin.HTFR said:GG Allen once did a record and the cover was an out line of his dong. he had his girlfriend help him out with it. he is by far the archetype of all that is wrong, and done with such sincerity. as terrible as it was... that man could put on a show like no one else, like rolling around naked in broken glass for an entire set!
oh and for those who may not know, the guitar player for pantera was shot. then the murderer was later shot by a police officer.
Their website has a media link that has MP3's from each record you can DL. Worth the time to get.narlus said:i think i have a today is the day single somewhere...i'll try to dig it out and give a listen. another amphetamine reptile band around the same time as TITD was Hammerhead. they were awesome. really tight, loud, psycho rock. saw 'em on a bill w/ helmet and the cows.
the cows were a hoot. shannon came out w/ rat traps hanging off his ears, a homemade haircut which looked like it was done by ray charles in the middle of a grand mal seizure, and a sharpie drawing of a chicken neck/head coming out of his pants.
Hammerhead kicks ass! :evil:oly said:Their website has a media link that has MP3's from each record you can DL. Worth the time to get.
I remember Hammerhead, and also I saw the cows once. Living in Portland in the mid to late 90's was great, plus i had 4-5 friends at the time in bands around town i got to see alot of good music.
saw that one in the theaters. crispin glover is one of the most underrated actors of our time. and keanu reeves has the emotive qualities of a 2x4.Hello Kitty said:remember this movie and the soundtrack
i will disagree they and killswitch engage were some of the sh*ttist bands i've seen in the last year too much screaming not enough metal, now MASTODON is totally badass http://mastodonrocks.combuilder666 said:Arch Enemy... ****in sick!

the mighty Fu-Manchu is "stoner rock" AkA "fuzz rock" and i don't really consider them Metal along with Kyuss, Nebula, Orange Gobblin, Alabama Thunder Pussy, Monster Magnet etc...now bands like Clutch and Bongzilla are on the cusp of metal-stoner rock there are distinct differences.Pedalist said:Fu-Manchu
Man, I miss them. One of the best Santa Barbara bands ever.llkoolkeg said:Snot

I saw Bongzilla open for Monster Magnet on the last tour and the only thing they have going for them is a somewhat humorous name. Other than that they blow chunks.Hello Kitty said:now bands like Clutch and Bongzilla are on the cusp of metal-stoner rock there are distinct differences.
