I have it narrowed down to these 2 forks. I need some input from you monkies out there. The Zocc for I know is a great mild freeride fork. But I know nothing about the Nixon.

You should be comparing the Marz all-mtn to the Nixon or the Marz Z1 to the Sherman single-crown. Those are better matched forks. I personally would choose the All-Mtn over the Nixon but I'd choose a Sherman firefly over a Z1 most likely but in that category both forks are really proven. the Nixon has been off to a rough start and I don't like buying "revolutionary" first-year products.

LIght duty freeride the majority of the time. I'm not worried about a trail bike, I still have my tracer for the XC side...
Then go either Sherman or Z1. IMO 
Yeh go for the z1, i have the 04, with 20mm less travel, and it can easily handle light freeride
Z1 all the way.
