I think I want a z1 (130). If so, I would probably get a used '05 or '04.

What is the difference in terms of spring, damper, and adjustability for the '05 ones? I saw z1 I ETA, z1 II, and z1 III. The older years aren't currently on their website.

If you pull down from the middle top of the page, I think you can get the specs on older model years.

[SPAM]I have a friend who might have and '03 Z1 in mint condition for ya.
You'd have to get a 20mm wheel though, but he has one of those too! ;)[/end SPAM]

The II and III are the SSVF valving, lower end stuff. It may spike at speed, but would be fine for DJ/MTX. Since you're doing DH on that bike too, go for the high end Z1.

Cool! That wouldn't be 20mm would it? So is the ETA one the better one?

The Z.1 ETA has HSCV valving, the good valving.
My friends fork is 20mm, yup.

Cool, thanks, I'll keep that fork in mind. Is it in good condition?

I didn't notice the thing about 20mm in your previous post. I would just find a used 20mm hub, and have my friend build to my wheel.

Any idea on price?

edit: Oh, woops, I didn't even notice the comments about the 20mm and mint condition in your post.

Patrick, I would advise buying the fork from Zarks friend. It would fit your bike and your riding well, and is a dang nice fork. (The Z1's with HSCV that is) Zark knows his stuff... if he says it's mint, it is mint.

Then save more money to get a nice DH bike. :D
