My parents had a house with an elevator in Mexico. Constant maintenance. After one of them got stuck in it for a while they wouldn’t ride in it together anymore. Guests always loved it though and the tile stairs fucking sucked when drunk. Glad that piece of shit is out of our lives. Fucking place would be 60 degrees and windy, 3 minutes up the road in puerto Nuevo it would be fucking 100 degrees.Interesting project, could be cool, could be a nightmare.... Think I'd end up wanting an elevator.

My in laws used to live in Porterville. No other reason to go, and that's not a very good reason.Porterville? That is completely random. Not far from me, but still somehow in the middle of nowhere.
When I bought my first house I looked at a place similar to that, except it was full of life sized dolls ranging from newborns to toddlers. You could smell the mental illness.
When I was 16, I worked as a delivery driver for Pizza Hut. I once had to drive to a Porterville location to pick up cheese, because we ran out. I got paid to drive there, and even that was not a good reason to go there. My in laws used to live in Porterville. No other reason to go, and that's not a very good reason.

Worth repostingedit: Just read it again. That's a mobile home. You're spending $200k for the property.
I would call it more ‘Logpublican’ but what do I know. And in that article is a phrase I have never heard, ‘Rusticratic’.
It makes me a little queasy, but perfectly describes a ton of the big houses here.
$3.5m in West Linn, WTF.
CJ McCollum’s West Linn mansion is for sale at $3.5 million
The former Portland Trail Blazers guard is selling his Oregon home with a glass-enclosed wine room, gym over the four-car garage and energy-saving Tesla solar panels.www.oregonlive.com
It's more the area than the price. But I don't spent time in West Linn, so I'm not in touch obviously. An expensive mansion? What is this world coming to?

I always get calls on my house. When they ask if I’m interested in offers. I tell them “ridiculously overpriced offers” or I ask if they are “over paying”. They never are.
