There are quite a few folks on mtbr that have them and say good things. I was seriously looking at the frame myself. I had it down to the 660, the Nashbar 853 and the Soma Groove. The final clincher was the 853 went on sale for $230. I do remember some folks were less than happy with the Zion paint. It supposedly would chip easily.
I do have a Zion 853,geared not single speed.Paint or finish is a matte black, nothing to get excited about.Welds are typical mass produced Far East quality.Ride is what I excpected rigid but not harsh.I primarily use this bike for winter training, quick 15 milers after work on old rail road grades turned trails and kind of a commuter. For the money and being new not bad especially if you allready have the parts to build it up.If you need a build kit to go with it then I think there are other choices(complete).
