Ate this last night for the first time, must be from the same family. Called "Goya"...very bitter but curiously tasty if cooked well.

Seeds inside, scrape them out then cut it up, eat with the skin on. I've never seen it back home, be interested if you Americans have seen it...about the same size as a cucumber or a zucchini.
