I remember we talked about dogs way back when at a Monkeyfest. We are now dog-less and are thinking about adopting a greyhound. Are y'all still involved with the GH rescue? If so, which one? Alternatively, is there one in the Boston area that you have worked with that you recommend?
Hey stino, im still lusting over your bracket to put the hs33 on the liquid frame. what would it take for you to make one for me?
Born to ride again. Lost my business 6 years ago from a fall. My disabilty lets me ride again, so many miles ahead

Hi mate,

do you still have the old linkage stuff for the iron horse?

I need the silver and black bearing retainer bolts for the forward lower mount

Cheers

Matt
I saw your post stating you have the 8 inch 9point8 post. I am curious if that is what you have on your large Nomad. I also have a large Nomad and have been in discussion with them about this post. Did some measurements for them and came to the conclusion it would fit just barely as long as I did my measuring correctly. Can you confirm that?

thanks,

Yes, prototype 8" 9point8 Fall Line on large Nomad3.

It has a really long outer tube. When I get home I'll check to see if it can slide all the way into the frame.
I saw your post about 27.5 wheels w/ 26 dropouts on the Spitfire. I'm thinking of doing the same thing as I like the numbers on the Spitfire except the chainstay length is too long for 275 wheels. Does the suspension performance change at all w/ the 275s in the 26 dropout? If you have the 275 dropouts, which one do you run more?
I can't wait for the winter carnival here in Saint Paul Minnesota. Fat Wednesday there is a fat tire bike race
I will post very cool pictures of all types of trikes. Fat tire Hot rod trikes. Fat tire Vintage trikes. Fat tire Beach cruiser.
I have been building custom bikes for many years and now have moved to the fat tire and the trike movement. Combine the two. Fat tire trike
I will give it a shot, thank you very much for your insight!! I will post my experience for others to know how I got on. Cheers - Hugh
you will get a feeling for the purge process. my email is palexisls@hotmail.com, you can contact me there or thru facebook chat
the ideal oil volumen. that means 1-2mm of lost travel... but i think thats a good enough aproximation. if you do this several times
seep as much oil as necessary, UNTIL you can see some pressure being released from the rubber seal... that means you are 1-2ml past
in the negative chamber.... that means the shaft will be all the way in, and the rubber seal in the main body will be compressed
i forgot to say that, to begin; you should pump 1-2 bar into the positive AND (very important step here) have as close to ZERO pressure
its a matter of trial and error to know how much oil to purge... but i usually do this part with the shock installed on the bike
both screws have a tiny spring and valve underneath them... be VERY careful not to have more than 1-2 bar of air in the positive
and purge the extra oil (and air) thru the 2 screws (the ones with the inverted groove)
once, you have assembled the shock (With extra oil), pump a little air (like 2 bar is enough)
but its better to start with too much oil (and take little by little as much as you need), than to have too little oil
when both ifp are all the way down.. pour oil above them. that means you have overfilled the oil
to reassmble the equalizer, the best thing is to push both ifp all the way down (take out all the air from the positive chambers)
