It's the only way to be sureCouldn't have had more fun but I think I am gonna try again
14 means a lot less when you start at 6.that's plenty big for anywhere in the US
and don't let those colorado dorks who are obsessed with the number 14 tell you any different
or 9, which is where the valleys where most of those things sit are14 means a lot less when you start at 6.
funny thing is, people have said that after many, many xc races over the past few years. those asshats get what they deserve.WC XC mechanics need to be fired if they can't swap a wheel in under 30 seconds, particularly a front. Pidcock's race ruined by a shoddy mechanic being slow and putting a mud front wheel on after a puncture. So he had to stop a second time for it to be swapped back to a normal front wheel. Still finished only a dozen seconds being the winner.
Is this a one time error or one that happens often? Since you know people make mistakes. It's just mistakes like this are visible. Not saying it isn't dumb on the mechanic but I wonder what caused this to happen and it's it's 100% on the mechanic.WC XC mechanics need to be fired if they can't swap a wheel in under 30 seconds, particularly a front. make XC self supported againJust imagine if XC racers still had to carry all their own tools and work on their own bikes… Lil tommycock would have to fix his own dang flat!
the mud tire swap confirms this thesis (?)probably a mechanic from his road team
"has knobs is mountain tire no?"the mud tire swap confirms this thesis (?)
so you are advocating for a lefty?Nascar pit stops take less than 10 seconds for all four tires. I would have to guess they get paid a bit better though.

In Breck we start at 10. The 14ers around us are minor. So while in Zermat I figured I'd jog up the Matterhorn in flip flops after hearing it's a 14er. Then the clouds lifted and I got a look at it...14 means a lot less when you start at 6.
No doubt, that was sick! Was that circa 80’s on the music? That was really well shot and edited.
Seemed to brme bitching about the two race format which was apparently a lot harder at the shoe, and perhaps why two yoots and a squatch were on the top of the box.so based on vergier's comments on wyntv, sounds like they're not going to snowshoe next year? BOO HISS.
also i want to like loris, but wtf whining about how it's too flat/hard/physical. hahahaha. suck it.
HAHA, I didn't know that my kid is about 5% Indian (NA) even though he looks like a young Billy Idol. Keep telling my wife to take the blood test at the local casino and see if she qualifies. Here Mom for sure would. They pay well......Astbury identified as cherokee long before identifying as something you're clearly not was fashionable..
Saw the cult play here in 85 on the Love tour. Good gig.
Rune Hoydahl once lost a WC overall because of a double flat in a race.Just imagine if XC racers still had to carry all their own tools and work on their own bikes… Lil tommycock would have to fix his own dang flat!
I love(parts of) all the free Suntour forks they’ve sent me over the years, but their “qr through axle system” is soooo bad. That second wheelswap was performed by the Suntour tech on hand, and poor fella was fighting with the dumb expanding collet just as hard as i do in my basement.
was when XCM introduced?A return to rider-supported racing went out the window when XC races stopped being endurance races and became a quick sequence of middle-distance intervals.
Well I'm pretty sure there's no lift that takes you up to 14. Usually it's around 10, like tree-line - -ish. If you're lucky.14 means a lot less when you start at 6.
I thought so too. Crazy how fast they smashed that edit together after the event and put it out. That was really well shot and edited.
We'll be revoking your colorado residency soonWell I'm pretty sure there's no lift that takes you up to 14. Usually it's around 10,
Yeah, wow, good find. "I get high like Colorado" Milky Chance song just popped into my head. We'll be revoking your colorado residency soon
I don't know why you turned around? I spent some time in Zermat last year it's surprisingly 'not bike' friendly in a way. I could have bought a pretty sweet watch though...In Breck we start at 10. good callYeah, wow, good find. "I get high like Colorado" Milky Chance song just popped into my head.
Thing is, I'm not sure the lift takes you that high. Just because you are still in bounds at 14k doesn't mean the lift took you there. Plenty of hiking to get you higher. Been there. It's worth it for sure on said pow pow days. Or even days after the storm these hike to places will still have the stash.
And places like Breck, it takes time for them to avalanche blast. So sometimes you can't even get to the good stuff until they blast. No matter how much "first chair" you get. I learned that the hard way. Way more blasting going on in Horseshoe bowl, Breck than any bowl in Vail. That's for sure, for example.
I have a particular buddy who always wants to hike up higher. And most of us are like, "Can we just meet you at the bar?"
That very well could have been at about the same time.was when XCM introduced?
Xc was added to the Olympics in 96, so the format was likely shortened as a result of that (and the subsequent rules amalgamation between the UCI and Olympic committee), which likely led to the eventual addition of xcm. That very well could have been at about the same time.
Also, remember Super D?
Here in the Northeast all of our skiing is now done in a roughly three-week span on "frozen granular".Yeah, wow, good find. "I get high like Colorado" Milky Chance song just popped into my head.

Oh yeah! I don't really remember XCE, but Brian Lopes still posts about it, so there's that.Xc was added to the Olympics in 96, so the format was likely shortened as a result of that (and the subsequent rules amalgamation between the UCI and Olympic committee), which likely led to the eventual addition of xcm.
Super D? Aka the precursor to enduro?
Remember xce?
