So are there any messengers in the forum and how did you get started, I seam to be having trouble finding out which places in Boston employ messengers.

Quicksilver, Boston Bike, Speedy, Choice, and many more are all listed in the Yellow Pages. But you need to hit the the streets and find out who is hiring, get a license, get insurance, get a bike that makes sense, and then get ready to earn your stripes (do the **** jobs until your dispatcher trusts you). Why do you want to be a messenger? Its a ****ty job and everyone hates you, even other messengers. Very cutthroat industry in a very unhospitable place. It was without a doubt the hardest job I ever had.....jdcamb

probly for the sole reason that i want to ride my bike for money and i am not quite good enough to get paid to race

I have found that making a living on a bike takes away from the fun of riding a bike. That and no matter how you do it...it also involves a lot more pain then most other ways to make money. I would rather work and then have my fun. But thats just me......jdcamb

yeah i had gotten the feeling that its not a very glorious job. i had also noticed that when working at the bike shop i didnt ride as much as i would have liked
