Better looking than most of the bikes on this thread.
I just messed around with the Pole design in Linkage to see what happens to the Anti-squat when you lay it out like this Orion. So, other than the shock being driven by a yoke on the swing arm instead of the upper link, is DW's new design fundamentally different to what Pole is doing?
Sorry man. I don't believe in virtual seat tube angles or fairies, elves or sky wizards. Lizards are definitely real though.i know
With imaginary numbers?i don't know how to measure virtual shit
What you drew was the virtual seat tube angle.i hear you. that was just my best estimate at their claimed angle. i don't know how to measure virtual shit, i just took a shot in the dark...
Was just coming to a link to it... oh well.Esker is not especially attractive.
NO...and now for something completely different.
A new Knolly.
I present the Cache - a Ti gravel grinder.
My ex fixie riding hipster coworker fucking loves hitting any gravel roads he can when we go out on road rides, for god knows what reason. I've ridden his bike, and while its marginally more comfortable than my pure road bike, it still feels like having your teeth forcibly removed from your mouth by rattling them out. From what I can tell, its like somebody finding a really shitty pothole filled patch of old pavement and saying "hm, you know what would be fun? Riding this with solid rubber tires at high speeds."I'm also utterly baffled road bikes with slightly wider tires advertised for use on gravel, but they have pedals, so they have to be fun in some dimension.
I'll ride a road bike on gravel, but it ain't my idea of heaven. The Moonlander, however...My ex fixie riding hipster coworker fucking loves hitting any gravel roads he can when we go out on road rides, for god knows what reason. It's serious, because we monkeys are getting old.At first I thought you guys were discussing this ironically, but now I'm not so sure anymore.
My gravel bro bike is great. I can dick around on city paths like a tool and if I have to go on grass, gravel path or some trail I'm not completely hosed.
It can also carry two tall cans of delicious beverage. None of my other bikes can do that, so that's a plus.
Morons are universal. My brain was too tired we have a huge group of guys who pay huge amounts of money for supermonsters 24'' doublewides and old huckbikes.I thought this was about bikes
The wife just told me she looking into this in the deep red. (Having separated bike savings, saves a marriage)
Haven't come across a Zumbi for a long time, but it's nice to see some straight tubes for a change.I quite like the look of the Zumbi F11, it's not new but they have two geo options and a custom option-
Step 1: co-axial axle pivotDW has a new suspension design coming out
https://bikerumor.com/2018/08/17/esker-cycles-first-w-weagles-orion-suspension-on-all-new-150mm-elkat-mountain-bike/
One can only hope it has a more reasonable price tag than the other one.Looks like Vorsprung may have a coil conversion on the way
If it covers 180mm single crowns I’d pay it (sounds like it does). One can only hope it has a more reasonable price tag than the other one.
interesting that DW was holding out for moto only for a whileDW has a new suspension design coming out

likewise. forgive my ignorance, but are there actually any motos on the market that are anything but a linkage driven single pivot?interesting that DW was holding out for moto only for a while
This one isn’t too bad if you have a Pike. One can only hope it has a more reasonable price tag than the other one.
From the picture, I guess and hope that there is a sort of hydraulic bottom out device from a shaft (just below the complete assembly on the picture) sliding in a tube with an adjustable aperture by the knob placed at the bottom of the assembly.Looks like Vorsprung may have a coil conversion on the way
