This would be a good reason to make sure that you always have bar end plugs installed in the ends of your handlebars!! Not too sure how I managed it...but fell over while not quite making it to the top of a short steep rock and managed to land with my chin on the end of the handlebar...DOH!!! It kept bleeding for a while...

Just this past Saturday, I noticed that one of those plugs was missing from my bars...presumably due to one of my many crashes. Only now am I considering installing another.
