I find the whole idea of ivy's to be insufferable, more so the 'minors'. After listening to both Sanders' and Trump's speeches last night, I was honestly shocked at the contrast between the two; one humble and focused, mostly on what's next ... and the other self congratulatory, bloated and mostly empty of any real substance. The first had Sanders barely able to be heard over a cheering crowd and the second met with shouts and clapping that quickly faded as if to say "wait, that's it?" after every hollow insincere thing that Trump said.
How do Trump supporters not get it? Maybe they're all normal and I'm the crazy one??

For a moment I (naively) thought the momentum and media attention of the past few weeks might change things up for Bernie in a place like SC, but it doesn't sound like he's got a prayer. I did read an article which said part of that is his own doing in that he hasn't actively courted their favor until like right now, but still, its ridiculous that people think the donkey witch is going to go to bat for them.

The black political establishment isn't going to bite the hand that feeds them/makes them relevant. I heard those comments and they were clearly spoon fed by the Clinton's and recited with rubio-esque robotic conviction.
However, their relevance to the public isnt guaranteed. I wouldn't be surprised to see the black community look elsewhere for leadership as evidenced in this election to date.

The more I pay attention to this election, the more dismayed I become. The whole thing has turned into a circus sideshow made up of no talent hack performers. The only one who seems like they're not a total scumbag is a geriatric revolutionary, whom I am leery of.
Today I'm thinking about just tuning out the whole event as much as possible until Nov and vote against the Repubs. Can't stand Old Pant Suit, don't fully trust old farts who want to tear down the whole system and start over. Mind you some of Bernie's ideas probably should come to fruition, but I fear it's too much to soon. And the Republicans are completely insane and backwards.

I have watched Bernie from up close from decades. Don't get hung up on his expressed ideals - he has proved to be a pragmatist who unites people to get stuff done, both as mayor of Burlington and in the U.S. legislature. I think he has something called wisdom.
He has ideals, but is not an idealist.
I'll take your word for it, but it's more his revolutionist persona that might make him unelectable to a lot of voters over 40. Younger people, on the other hand, are drawn to him for this.
