Kinda lame to totally delete an active forum w/o a warning or closure period. They could at least have locked it for viewing-only for a while.
I do understand why they got rid of it though. If they're not sponsoring the park they have no obligation to host a forum for it.
Oh well. I spend...
D's only got a handfull but they're nice.
Dom's Denial
Phantom (Porch)
Anthem
Road to Nowhere
Pipeline
Covanent & Canon
Salvation (aka big and small bananna or J-drops)
Flume is closed though.
Alpine has some nice wall rides and if you take the spur after the double that's just after...
LOL, you only need to pedal on the first bridge. :D
OTOH Anthem gets my goat b/c I'm can't spot the line on the apporach so I dump a lot of speed to line it up. I avoid pedaling on it so I can get set to hop off ...which is ironic b/c I'll pedal the 1st bridge on CW no problem. The thing...
I went to Whistler last year and differences I see are in the freeridey stuff: Diablo has more drops than most of Whistler and the drops don't have those safety ramps underneath to help ppl roll it out if they don't commit. You don't commit here and you may get committed.
As Huck said above...
A number of my friends just went there the other weekend and they all raved about the same things. They were as impressed with the maintenance as they were with the additional features.
I don't think I have heard anyone complaining about that the maint having dumbed things down at Highland...
Well I thought I was agreeing with you, but I guess I was just talking sh*t then.
"Natural Selection" and "sucka-free access" were sarcastic comments about the idea if people were having trouble with the dirt kicker they weren't qualified to ride the wood feature. I disagree with that...
According to the argument against, that's just Natural Selection at work and a way to keep the features clear for just us thrashers.
You want sucka-free access, ride weekdays. (awesome chit! :thumb:)
It's low. Just look at the first and last wood slats... both have been...
While I agree it's on the rider to understand the nature of the feature, my point is lesser experienced riders may not be able to look at that kicker and see it's not going to automatically put you up on the ladder without a good hop. Fact is it's too low. Anyone building something like that in...
Some quick thoughts:
Please sweep the marbles out of the berms on Alpine and IndyX.
The kickers to Salvation and the box on upper Doms aren't sufficient unless you know you need to hop up to avoid casing the leading edge of the feature. I've seen MANY people buy the farm on Salvation b/c...
I should mention that Scrublover gets the camera credits! :thumb:
So Covanent and the Canon just after get a double diamond right?
Anthem definately deserves a DD because it's so tricky to hit. Narrow and off line from the blind approach... hard to have enough speed to make it to...
Wear your flak jackets folks, people have been shooting up the place:D
Armoured and dangerous:
"Nowhere" to run:

I have IE and clicking does not produce the full sized picture.
Anyone have a solution besides installing another browser???
It works in Safari though. Still I use IE more often.
I should also point out it seems silly for the browser to load the full size picture then resize it to the...
