ok thanks for the replies. i think we're set on checking it out tomorrow. does the trail head have a gate or anything? don't want to get our cars stuck out there while we're riding.
is tokul east suitable for some newbies? I'm still feel like a beginner on a mtb and want to explore beyond Soaring Eagle which is a pretty tame ride. Tokul is much closer to my house also. I've got a couple buddies that are pretty new to this as well and we aren't quite ready for anything...
totally forgot to update you guys, but I installed the housing and everything worked like a charm. Not that I expected anything else.
thanks for your help!

that's the perfect answer. I knew it was because of the housing and knew that I needed it. Just didn't understand why it would be different.. Rookie indeed. Rest assured, though, that I wasn't going to go for any rides until I picked up the housing.
I'll pick up some housing tomorrow. I'll...
Hi folks,
I'm currently in the process of installing some Hayes mx2 mechanical disc brakes that I picked up used for a good price. I've got the rear disc installed and it stops me just fine. I still need to buy some cable housing though.
But the problem I'm having is with the front brake...
I haven't ridden this yet, but I saw it a few weeks back. It is truly awesome. I'm new to mountain biking and I'm glad to have skills parks as such. Otherwise, the only other option to learn is through some gnarly stuff. Which isn't necessarily bad, but it doesn't really help me understand...
how do I get to r-line? I live in the area off of Douglas Ave in Snoqualmie Ridge. I was talking to a couple younger looking dudes and they were explaining it to me, I think I know, but could use some additional directions.
oh, uh, okay for beginners?

Hi,
Does anyone know where I can find a Pro Tec Cyphon helmet in the Bellevue-Issaquah, WA area? Or in the Seattle area would work to if its near the downtown area.

definitely not worth it, then. especially if you can get to the other places easily as already mentioned. Went there yesterday. It was kind of neat, but I think if you have any idea what you're doing, its not worth the trip.
I don't have any idea what I'm doing so its worth the ride over...
is NW Timber trail the 'beginner' section?
I'm new to mtn biking and am always looking for beginner/mellow stuff. Gone once to soaring eagle. probably going back again.
