I want to get rid of my 03 mx comp fork and beef up my suspension. I have been doing a lot of freeriding lately and not as much trail so 85mm of suspension just isnt cutting it anymore. Whats the biggest fork I could put on an Endudo? I was wanting to go to about a 150 mm.

I have a '03 Enduro with a Z1 [130mm] up front. Perfect fit for that year, maybe a little bit to raked for some, but I like it. Flip Flop may help, but I'm not sure it will provide 150mm kinda help. I believe the '05 Enduro's are set up for 6" and 6", but don't quote me on that.

I rode a Psylo SL on my '03 Enduro. I would guess that you could get away with 6" up front. Just make sure you go to a 20mm when you do, otherwise it will be flexi-flexmaster!

Depends on what year frame you have. I wouldnt put a really big fork on the front such as 150mm. I could put too much stress on the frame. There is already enough stress on the rear shock, why add it to the front. I would go with a Z1 like buddha said. I wouldnt go more then 130. Thats just my two cents.

I have an 02' Enduro w/ a 150mm Flick. Run a Monster T on an Enduro just remember to ride it in its intended use range - "trail bike". If you want to huck & drop buy a Big Hit.

I have on 05 Fox vanilla rlc on my 03 enduro and i love it. I have had a sc shiver and an 03 z1 on it. I like the fox followed by the sc shiver so far. i have seen guys using 150mm sc forks like the new sherman and z150 and I have also seen boxxers and super t's on the enduro just depends on how hard you are on it, i guess.

For funsies, I looked at the '03 Specialized site, and the base level Enduro frame looks to be the same the next model up, which is using a 125mm Psylo.

I think 5 inches is no problem, but 6 could be a crap shoot. Do I think the head tube will break, probably not. But you never know...

i have an '03 enduro with a qr20 z1(130mm) up front and it performs well on all but the steepest of trails. the z1 was my upgrade from a psylo sl and it has made a world of difference.

I also run a z1 qr20 on my 03 Enduro. Seems to be the perfect balance for the front and rear end. I did contact Specialized at one point asking about putting a z150 on the front. They did not recommend it because it would void the warranty...the frame was designed around a 5 inch fork.

I do know one person who ran a z150 on their Enduro and in about 9 months they had ovalized the headtube.

FWIW: my '05 6" Enduro has a sticker on the HT that says not for forks with more than 125mm travel  The bike comes with a 6" fork on it...

On an '03 though I'd stick with 130mm or less, the most I'd go is a Nixon or the like with 135-ish. Otherwise the geo and warranty will be screwed. I had an '02 and I can't imagine it with a 6", too slack unless you maybe put a longer but similar stroke shock out back but then you're getting into frankenbike territory  ...
