I know that TF can add a Motion Control cartridge to older boxxers, but at $500 I may as well go buy a Boxxer Team for a little more.

However, I can get a Boxxer WC or Race (05) for a really reasonable price, and a Motion Control cartridge for $50.

Does anyone know what would be needed to make the upgrade?

I know you at least need a spring in order to convert to a Team level fork. consult the SRAM spare parts pdf on their website.

Typically, the MoCo cartridge is nearly impossible to get as an aftermarket upgrade.

Converted my 2005 boxxer ride with the following:

06 Motion Control damper
06 Rebound damper
Honed stanchion tube
Solo Air Assembly
Solo Air top cap


He converted his to WC level, so if I wanted to convert mine just to use the better damping, I assume I'd just need the first three?
Or could I do without the stantion tube?
