I have been fiddling around with the fork crowns on my 09 Boxxer Teams. The user manual says "no more than 160mm of exposed upper tube above the lower crown".
Because I have a low stack height I had some stanchion above my upper crown. So I have dropped the stanchions through the crowns, and I can raise my bar height. Now the amount of exposed upper tube above the lower crown is now 140mm.
Is this safe to run and is there a minimum amount of exposed upper tube you can have above the lower crown? or is this measurement of 160mm fixed for the lower crown?
