The motor-assist rear wheel is really interesting. Self contained, looks clean, on-demand power. Probably expensive and heavy.

The horn is the only viable device. I'd think that would be popular in the city where cheating death is a regular occurrence.

In hell. Welcome!
I want that flying fat bike AND I want to have the legs and lungs to get it in the air and do some distance.

Could fully juiced Lance do that?

For me, the appeal of a bike is the simplicity of the evolved design. I wince every time someone sticks some electronic geegaw on it or (even worse) tries to "reimagine" the bicycle.

my friends dad has some electric bike that looks to have a rear wheel just like that. its a 'mtb' with mech disk brakes, and some sort of pre-load adjustments on both sides of the fork..

the rear is so heavy you can get the front end to lift, makes for an awkward ride. its a POS, but its fun to mess around on.
