Can the travel of these forks be changed?
I recently bought a used 2001 Z3 wedge to go along with a 2001 Big Hit Comp I also bought used (matching fork for that bike). Any way these forks are supposed to have 5" of travel... well this one dosen't.
I just recently built up this little ride and took it out this past weekend to ride The Shore, we rode some pretty wicked trails. It wasn't until we rode Cypress (Wild Cherry {triple black dimond}) that I noticed the fork bottoming out alot. I checked out the stancions and sure enough the fork was only using 4" if it's travel and I'd hucked it off some 6-7' ftrs and still only 4" of travel one to flat just to be sure it was using all the travel.
Any ideas why only 4" of travel.
