its the same as the old one, but lighter, i dont see it removing the saint as king of cranks right now.

Sure you can find lighter ones, but going that route, the XO DH crank and Race Faces offerings are kings, if they are as durable remains to be seen :)

Saints are just too easy to install, use and can take a beating, etc so as a complete package, they still sit on top.

I've got a set of the E13's on my DHR, but this is one season I have to admit, I've yet to give a set of cranks a proper flogging. And there was no difficulty in setting them up, unless you count me trying to booger the threads. :D

I put mine on my tr250 in March have ridden them 30+ days of dh all over the place and they are solid as a rock. embarrassed to say I didn’t take them off once all season for any type of maintenance and had some pretty hard arm strikes on rocks.

very impressed thus far.

Huge shimano crank fan here as well and long time saint rider, but decided to give the e.13's a shot this time around. Honestly you could pick either and be happy, the e.13's are just as easy if not easier to install. It's nice there are some options out there.

Is it a high level of torque though?

I know on my single bolt SRAM and 970 XTR (spit) there's no way I could get them to the required torque with a small multitool.

dont get me wrong :) im sure these are amazingly good cranks, as an overall, i just still dont see them toppling the saints off the throne.

I would love to try some, but they arent cheap and certainly cost more then the saints.

they are listed at 760 grams with bb so with chainring that would be 800.. thats like 150 grams lighter then saint isn't it?
