If anyone has any info on the Quebec cup series that would be awesome as well. after a quick Google I dont think they have a schedule out yet.

Thanks for starting the 2012 thread, hopefully the mods will "sticky" it again this year.

Regarding the ESC dates, they are tenative until the 2012 ESC release. The ones above are pretty solid though. We'll continue to do what is right for racing and racers in east. If that means moving the date of an event, we will.

Races are being added between some of the dates. In fact less than 1/2 the series race dates are available at this time. We are working very hard on the full schedule every day and night.

Like the "Eastern States Cup" on Facebook for up to date info including new dates as we're posting them up as they are inscribed. Got a favorite racing venue?let us know and we'll see what we can do.

Looks like a GREAT season in 2012....STOKED!!!

Sounds like Massanutten will be April 27-28 (altho nothing official at this point), Paris Mtn looking at either October 27-28 or November 3-4, and I suspect Beech will have at least one race prior to the Nats for qualifying (hoping for several races this year at the Beech). So in summary, I haven't helped you at all Steve - but hopefully all the dates will get firmed up soon.

And FWIW, Fontana Village in western NC is hosting the annual Icycle (i.e. drunken, night DH and mud wrasslin) this weekend.

Regarding GES dates the following are Tentative dates/venues;

June 2-3 TBD
June 28-30 Windham NY
August 11-12 Launch Bike Park DH/Dual
August 25-26 Swain Resort, Swain, NY
Sept 8-9 Snowshoe WV.
Sept 29-30 Seven Springs PA. Finals!

We will have a complete tentative schedule out shortly followed ASAP by the official GES 2012 release.

We are working hard to continue to offer a great professionally run series at venues that not only offer a great DH race experience but also additional amenities and activities for not only the riders but also family, friends and spectators.

I'm hoping for multiple races at Killington and Mt. Snow again this year. That was nice for those of us jammed way up in the Northeast.

Also, no Attitash or Sugarbush yet?

That attitash trail was wicked siktor bro last year. Couple of sections got real really fast. Snow had a couple of neat races too. I'd go back to attitash in a heartbeat, hopefully snow revises some of their freeride trails.

Hey Aaron, I think you will be very pleased with the ESC this year. Please follow us on Facebook for updates. We announced the second Kllington date yesterday. I thnk you guys will like the races (yes, races) at Attitash, We'l be announcing them shortly. All ESC dates are CONFIRMED, we just need to find the best dates for the venues and the racers.

So please add Killington August 18-19 date to the above list. The Beauty and The Beast are reunited.

We are working daily on making this series, "The Place to Race". Women, keep a very close eye on our announcements, you will be very happy with the ESC.

Nooooooooo! say it aint so. I heard rumors of the finals being at 7 springs... Guess I won't be racing for the GES overall this year.

Any chance we could add Super D races to the schedule? Not that I know of any at this time...

I'm not talking about the conflict with Snowshoe's dates. I'm talking about the idea of having the Finals of a Downhill series on an overgrown Dual slalom course.

If your only having 6 events you should not have any Drops and no double points ..... award the racers that show up consistently to your series!

Seven Springs is not finals worthy just have the finals at Snowshoe

Did you do any usac events last year after the Nationals took place?
We qualified for the 2012 Nationals by doing the Paris Mtn. DH in November.

I believe their Highland Race from last year as well was supposed to count towards their 2012 season year. Not sure if this is still the case but could be interesting if they did no drops and a racer didn't show up at Highland in 2011 or bumped up this year in classes.

From the preliminary schedule, here's the list of DH events in Quebec:
-Canada Cup #1, Mont Tremblant, May 18-20
-National Champs, Mont-Sainte-Anne, July 5-8
-MTB Adrenaline Festival, Sugarloaf (New-Brunswick), July 13-15
-Quebec Provincial Champs, Massif Du Sud, September 1-2

Bromont has nothing yet except for a DH1 round if the series is still on the go...

180 degree reversal of your position 3 days before the October 2011 Highland race......so I guess you were just trying to make us all race Highland by saying the points counted to 2012....now you say not counted...thats BS

Looking forward to seeing final schedules, was hoping to pick a series and do it, but travel time and funds may not make that possible, plus I am not good enough to win a series anyway, super excited that we have so many choices as far as races in general go.
