I was over at a frinds House in his disaster of a Basement that has Bicycle parts litterally all over the place , I love it . he has a grand collection of old parts , and of course I was looking for some old 7 speed stuff.

But in his pile of stuff he has old freewheels ,

Ok lets see who know this one ,

What is the difference between an 6 Speed free wheel and a Ultra 6 speed freewheel ?

I'm guessing it is a drop out spacing issue. 5 speed spacing is 120mm, and 6/7 speed spacing is 126mm. Modern road is 130mm.

I bet the Ultra 6 fit into a 120mm spacing.
