DONATE TO THE KIDS' CAUSE
Got a mountain bike (any size) that's no longer being used and is just collecting dust in the garage? Well, here's your chance to do something good with it: Donate it to San Diego Mountain Biking Association sponsored Outdoor Outreach/Kids' Mountain Bike Program where it will be tuned up to give underprivileged kids mountain biking opportunities.
In addition to a warm fuzzy, you will also receive a receipt/letter, from the Executive Director of Outdoor Outreach (a 501(c)3 non-profit organization), stating that you donated the bike (known as an in-kind donation) and that the donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Donators will be able to appraise the fair market value of the bike by themselves as long as it is below $5,000.
Please bring your bike to the next SDMBA meeting July 20, 8-10 pm, at Maloney's Tavern in the Gaslamp District. Or contact mark@sdmba.com, mikihidaka@yahoo.com, jwarner3@san.rr.com to arrange for pick up.
