A couple of months ago questions were coming up about the Bionicon adjustable geometry bikes. This vid is now on Youtube, and should make it a bit clearer for anyone who hasn't seen one in person. It's from the Bionicon service manual DVD.

Of course, a better way is to demo one if you can since it's hard to explain how much difference there is in the way the bike handles for climbs vs. dh runs, and how quick and easy it is to change on the fly.

The Edison in the video is an efficient climber, great downhiller, sub 30 pounds with 150mm of travel, and HT angles from 67 deg to 73 deg (or anywhere in between). In the climbing position the 150mm fork drops down to 70mm, without lowering the BB. I've had mine for three years and love it. Check it out:
