Yeah that frame looks sweet and it's on sale.robdamanii said:Looking for a new frame for your hardtail?
Is it a single speed?ghostrider said:I have one. What do you want to know?
1) The paint is not great. It flakes and chips more easily than I would have hoped. Looks good, and is reasonably durable, but this could have been better. 2) The Cable housing guides for the rear brake line are not at all crimped -- basically, the cable housing will just slide right though them as opposed to seating firmly.
I bought the EBB version and built it as a single speed. I don't have any issues, although it is really hard to pedal.stosh said:Is it a single speed?
I dont' want to make it into a single speed but most of the comments talked about how they love it as a single speed.
Have you been happy with it?
Ok cool thanks man!!!BussaFrame said:No, the one you linked to isn't the frame wtih the eccentric bottom bracket. You would have to use a tensioner.
I know what a blow job is, but I don't want to know what a pain job is. Actually I think I'm working at one right now. Anyway, the paint seems fine to me. Haven't ridden it much yet, though.stosh said:Ghost, you been happy with the pain job?
Ok cool, what made you decide to buy this frame?ghostrider said:I know what a blow job is, but I don't want to know what a pain job is. Actually I think I'm working at one right now. Anyway, the paint seems fine to me. Haven't ridden it much yet, though.
Steel, EBB, disc brakes, der hanger, flat black, and price. I needed all of those features.stosh said:Ok cool, what made you decide to buy this frame?
How tall are you and what size did you get?ghostrider said:Steel, EBB, disc brakes, der hanger, flat black, and price. I needed all of those features.
I went with steel on your suggestion. I'm looking to run some smaller tires like 2.1's so I should be ok.MMcG said:I've heard that there isn't a ton of rear tire clearance on those frames, but if you are planning on running something like a 2.0 or 2.1 tire you should be fine. I think wider "all mountain" type tires might have a hard time squeezing into the chainstays.
Let us know how it looks all built up Stosh!
what made you go with that one over the Nasbar frame? Steel, waaay better price, though I don't know anything about either.stosh said:Whoops.... I bought the frame... and some disc brakes.
That frame is almost a full 2lbs heavier for one. Different steel too.jacksonpt said:what made you go with that one over the Nasbar frame? Steel, waaay better price, though I don't know anything about either.

As I was driving in today I was thinking about all the stuff I'm going to need to buy new. Seatpost, seatpost collars and so on.... should be a fun build for the rest of the winter.
I know off the top of my head is I need a BB, Seatpost, seatpost collar, disc wheelset.MMcG said:Stosh - hope you love it. Lemme know what sorta stuff you need to finish the build as I may have a thing or two in the parts bin that I could send your way.
