Apparently this is the most common wrist break for people in their teens and 20's.
So I am 35, and broke my scaphoid at Plattekill practicing for a race in August. I was put in a long arm cast for 6 weeks, a short arm cast for 4 more. That was followed with surgery where they took a graft from my ulna and put it into the scaphoid and then screwed it together. This was followed with 2 weeks in a splint and 4 weeks in a cast. 2 more weeks until I know if the graft is even taking.
Bryn Atkinson and Chris VanDine also broke their scaphoids last year. I noticed Bryn is wearing a CTi brace.
I really just wanted to see if there are others that have had that injury and what their doctors told them.
I can't stand being sedentary anymore and have missed half the biking season, half the ski season and half my hockey season.
Anyone have experience with a CTi brace for their wrist?
