Does anyone here remember Auburn bikes from the late 80s arly 90s? They had the two piece frame with a chrome rear triangle, they were the Shiz nit back in the day.Anyway i picked one up at a garage sale today for 15 bucks, just thought that was cool.

so mister oblivious asks, why a 2 piece frame, doesn't that just mean a couple of bolts shear off more frequently than a weld would break or is the front triangle aluminium and the rear triangle chromo?

I remember seeing those around though, I was too young and too uninformed to realize that they were anything different than the Univega I was riding.

the front is cro-mo and the rear came in aluminum or cro-mo
