what do you guys think about the regular lizard skins shin guards. Do the plastic inserts protect your shin from blunt objects like the blunt side of a pedal?

Hey, I'm tired of wearing my hardshell racelite shins pads from 661. They're too combersume, but i want something to save my shins too. Here's what i was looking at...

If you guys know of anything else or have any other suggestions, throw em out please. Thanks. :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk: :bonk:

I have a set of those, and I hate them, its hard to beat the price, but I think they suck.

I'm using a set of UGP shin guards, and Shadow Industial Knee pads, and this is the best setup I've used so far, and I've tired a lot of different pad sets.

I use 4x4's (older style) and like them. They seem to stay in place for me. They only con is that they aren't the quickest to put on.

I just switched from RaceLites to 4x4s myself...
At 6'2", my legs were too long for the RaceLites (they only come in S, M, & L). I got 4x4s in XL, and they seem fine so far. Definitely more leg coverage. They feel a little bulkier than they look in that photo, and definitely take a little longer to put on. I like 'em, tho.
