How good are these brakes. Im just wondeing if its worth my time to upgrade to some LXs. There came on my 99 RAleigh m600 that i bought used. Thanks for the info.

I don't have any experience with the 1.0s specifically, but I like Avid brakes. I haven't had any brake honk since I switched to Avids. I don't know whether it's the pads or the arch (I have Arch Rivals), but the quiet braking is heavenly.
I have Arch Rivals also and I love them!!!
Stick with the Avids, bro. The LX brakes aren't as nice, even the parallel-push ones (any parallel push brake seems to cause increased brake post flex... weird!).
Looking on avids site they look just like the avid 3s or somthing like that. I was thinking about getting a set of arch rivals. Thanks for the help.
There used to be a great deal on Arch Rivals at Pricepoint.com, Supergo.com, or JensonUSA.com, I forget which. It was something like $89 for front and rear brakes and speed dial 7 levers.
