Dude, How are you doing? How serious of an injury??? I sort of heard about that injury through the vine and was bummed to hear you got hurt. Hope your healings going good.GlennG said:Carted off is never good. What did you break? I wasn't able to go as I broke my back in two places two weeks ago.
Did you stay at the Davenport or something?MUTOLI said:Oh, can't forget to mention our sweet hotel room that had a jacuzzi tub in the middle of the room along with a fireplace!
We stayed at the Quality Inn. They didn't have any regular rooms left, so they hooked us up with the suite for the same price!Radarr said:Did you stay at the Davenport or something?
no, joe was the guy on the diamondback assualt who was wearing a wife beater.Radarr said:Lol - dead sailors. Is Joe the guy on the Bighit that won the Dj comp last time?

Yeah... I guess my 1:53 means my testicles are still descending. It's gonna be awesome when I hit puberty.krustydude said:i believe lars got a 1:30. he was smoking. there were actually quite a few pros and semi-pros. more than i'm used to seeing anyway. the new doubles before the berm to berm separated the men from the boys for sure... and i'm apparently still pre-pubescent.
douBle between the berm to berm? so it was like a quadruple?Slider said:From a begginer perspective the new double between the berm to berm was a scam, awesome for all the expert / sport. but for us neubs who are still watching cartoons with no clue what the word puberty even means or girls are for anything but making fun of, it sucked and equaled a huge portion of the course we could have walked through faster not fun just dissapointing it was basicaly the equivlent of taking a whole class of riders and rubbing there noses in **** and screamming "You suck at the same time!!" more deameaning demoralizing than anything  !!! On that note they should have left all the pro-expert reroutes(huge climbs) in XC course for the begginers and see what there next XC turn out is.
no you miss under stood me it is 3 doubles with the first having an extremely difficult entrance prompting progressive failure on the next 2 and then ultimatly feeding you into the berm to berm jump with no speed so begginers are pedalling there ass's off into a double they are unsure they can make in the first place creating an even higher chance for failure because of all the negative stimulus overload all within an area less than 60 feet. If we were compitient Jumpers than we most likely wouldn't be beginers in the first place I think everyone in our class was excited if they could even make the berm let alone the three 10 footers before it. I am just saying it is too much at one time for beginers. Hell most of sport class cased the first Tripple with a clear 30 foot runway. It is Kinda like on the "70's show" when Kelsoe gave all his Porn at once to Fezz and Fezz nearly died of exhaustion and ultimatly gave up nuidy magazines by the end of the episode.dirtjumpP.1 said:douBle between the berm to berm? so it was like a quadruple?
They weren't that bad. If you sucked them up enough you could carry some speed. I saw plenty of sport and experts having trouble with those jumps.Slider said:From a begginer perspective the new double between the berm to berm was a scam, awesome for all the expert / sport. but for us neubs who are still watching cartoons with no clue what the word puberty even means or girls are for anything but making fun of, it sucked and equaled a huge portion of the course we could have walked through faster not fun just dissapointing it was basicaly the equivlent of taking a whole class of riders and rubbing there noses in **** and screamming "You suck at the same time!!" more deameaning demoralizing than anything  !!! Be happy they were all rollable and you didn't have to do a long around. It's understandable your frustration, but you need to remember they have different classes that stand for different abilities...they have to have stuff on the course that is more challenging for the more advanced riders, as they have easier stuff for the beginners...Slider said:My point Exactley look how much better you are than me and I am a pretty average begginer Tony it was just way to much for a begginers plate. I would love to learn them but way to much to just show up and do.
I agree. Some of the go arounds were way too long or they shot you out in a bad line for next part of the trail. Like the rock step up. I never would have tried it if the around line was better, but it hella sucked so I had to push myself to try and do it, which I'm really glad I did! :dancing:MUTOLI said:Be happy they were all rollable and you didn't have to do a long around. I think it would be harder to get the around then just doing the step up! That is sweet you did it Snacks. It's actually really easy once you do it. A girl in the clinic didn't want to try it, and I talked to her and told her how fast to hit it, and she did...she was super stoked!Snacks said:Like the rock step up. Hahhaaa. Certainly was dusty, sure glad we got that sprinkling on Sunday.Tootrikky said:My Bugers are still brown!
Yeah I totaly understand that aspect of it i just thought they could've done sort of scenario like on the xc course where pro and sport and had to go through the whole thing but have a "switch" to close it off and keep all the begginers on the same page. Alot of the rest of the course from my perspectice was just holding on and balls that part was overly tech for the class. If it wasn't for the chance of getting disabled the day befor the race I considered just doing that section for 2 hours. The whole rest of the course was Fine A little mentaly taxing in some spots but not impossible. My favorite manuver was the first time i did the step up in practice I wasn't going fast enough stalled on the rock and fell off it backwards I felt like i was just manualling over in slow motion I wish i had a picture of that.MUTOLI said:Be happy they were all rollable and you didn't have to do a long around. Haha, we're in the new helmet/concussion club. Two concussions in a row - I bet your's happened less than a minute before mine.Secret Squirrel said:Need a new helmet now...and I only have 2 weeks to get better (and rid myself of this concussion) for Silver Mt......bike's alright though
Thanks for the "turd" congrats!Slider said:by the way you really put the hammer to the turd good JOB at the race.
Yeah...I was the rider immediately after you.. I think I had a ghost in front of me.....Then after my crash, the medic asked me if I was going to continue and finish....like 30 seconds after I said "Hell no.", they said they were going to re-run the people coming down after you....and I thought to myself..."hmmm if I had continued, I might have gotten another shot at the course.." Then the dizziness and pain set in.... LOL.....so I guess it was a good idea to cut my losses!!Radarr said:Haha, we're in the new helmet/concussion club. I guess the thump from my head hitting the log was pretty solid, at least that's what my parents say. They were standing 15 feet from where I hit. Before he realized it was me, my dad said to my mom: "I'd hate to be that kid's father"
