last weekend, per my cheap standards, Blong and I found some "free" camp spots across the lake 'round Holcomb Valley.. braaapt.. but it's pretty friggin far
free camp spots or just camping on the side of a dirt road? Either way it is pretty far and I like to at least have water, I don't much care about toilets but water is key. Still there are "pay" campgrounds that should be relatively cheap in the same area and all in all it's not too far, just not right in down town. If you were really hardcore you could camp in the parking lot of the mormon church right next to baldwin lake on the north side of the lake, I'm sure nobody would say anything as long as you weren't there sunday morning.
What does a campsite cost in SoCal? The NFS campsites 'round here go for $18 for up to 8 adults and 2 vehicles. Flush tiolets, but showers are $2 for 5 minutes.
