Thanks... I've seen that manual PDF file before.

It was mentioned in the video above that there are a FEW ways to bleed the Shimano disks, so I was wondering if the way they show would also work for the Magura as well. There are a lot of similar steps so maybe it would work.. just bleeding from the top down instead of bottom up.

bottom up works excellent with Gustavs, at least with the factory bleed kit.

never tried it the other way, but since air likes to go up within liquid why bleep top down?

I've got magura louise's and have had real good luck just bleeding from the top down, no pushing, just gravity feeding the fluid through. It takes more time, but I've found that this gets rid of all air quite easily. Well worth a try.

Easiest to bleed
Once my friends gustav rear brake needed a bleed when we was on the mountains
I actually bleeded his brake with my mouth 
The taste was terrible. But the brake was good to go.

yeah in a pinch i did a top down bleed, just a matter of opening reservoir, gently pumping lever and tapping line caliper and giving time for any air to bubble out. then topping off and replacing MC cover. dead simple.
