My pleasure seismic. Yep, Craig on the right, Eric on the left, candy on the table and juicies on the floor. ;)

BV, I have a high res version I can send. Will check your profile for an email, otherwise PM me with it. Have a few others from their booth I can send along too if you'd like.

I love how Bklyn and Avalanche continue to go with their bare-bones Interbike booths. Product speaks for itself. Bklyn won't even fork out the cash for a piece of carpet, which costs something astronomical, like a thousand bucks to rent for three days. Lame. The Brooklyn backdrop also serves as their shipping crate. Minimalism and efficiency. :thumb: (Watch 'em do some outlandish elaborate set up next year...just to shut me up. HA.)

Uncle BMW wants YOU!!! :thumb: Where can I sign up? I actually don't think people realize how many times a day I say Brooklyn to myself. Quite scary really.

I once said the F word in an American elementary school when I was visiting a friend at his school. I couldn't understand why I was sent to the principals office. LOL.

I think it's stupid that you can walk around with a gun, but not say a swear word.

PS: US needs better gun control, but Micheal Moore should burn in hell. :mumble:

I don't like Bush and I don't like Micheal Moore. One doesn't rule out the other. I think Michael Moore is a horrible man. But that's another discussion. This is a BMW thread, and I apologize for bringing it about.

Anyone have some photos? c'mon... Go out this weekend and get a few why dont you.

Wow, I think it took me 6 days to look at and read every page of this thread. I remember the day I 1st set eyes on those beautiful RL's. I fell in love. So to get to the point. I was thinking about purchasing one for the 2006 season. Now I know you gonna say, why plan so far ahead. Well this season (2005) I am racing fro a team and my V10 is still working well so I figured I will race one more year on it. I just acquired a job and don't think I will be being fired anytime soon and it aint a bad job so I have been working many hours. With the money I get for the V10 and working I think I will easily be able to pay for the frame. But then theres those things called parts...He, well I was thinking. If I can get the frame before the winter, say in the beginning of fall, then I will have all winter to work and hopefully accumulate enough dough to build that puppy. I had a few questions. When placing an order, how long of a wait should I expect? Do the racelinks come with custom Geometry and lengths? I am 6'3'' 270lbs and thrash my bikes. I have no doubt in my mind that it will be strong enough, BUT, will it be comfortable? My V10 is a large and it feels pretty nice. I am pretty sure the only thing that changes from the mediums to the larges is the top tube length. Also does the avy come set up to your needs? I would guess so but I am just wondering. Anyway. Help me out. I can easily be sold to soemthing so give me the truth. Heres an Idea of the build I am looking at.

BMW Racelink frame
888 or Dorado
Hope Mono 6 Ti front, Hope Mono M4 rear
Mag 30's or something strong on Hadley Hubs
Deity Bar and stem Combo (I get the hook up)
Selle Italia FLite Gel seat
Thomson Post
Not sure on tires yet
XTR shifter and Derailler

Thats just some basic stuff, I really dont know what to get yet because by 2006 a bunch of new parts will be out. But anyway. There it is.

hmmm. you might want to try to ride an rl prior to purchase. the tt is only 22.5" - which is about 2" shorter than the v10 you're riding; it might be a bit short as an all-out racebike for a guy of your length. i also raced a large v10 prior to the tmx (which has a similar tt length to the rl).

Ohh believe me, I am used to small bikes, right now I am riding an Evil Imperial most of the time. That 2" isnt a major thing for me. Mayeb a little bit of a long stem will help?

I am 6'5" and ride a RL with no problem. I use a 70 mm stem. No custom unless you have a unlimited bank account. I rode my friends large V10 and it feels the same size or a touch smaller but has a 50mm stem

I think I should be all set on size. Does anyone know of any pics with a rider around 6"3'' standing next to a RL with 26" wheels just so I can get an estimate, also, what the length from the center of the bottom brakcte to the top of the seat tube?

mine is 13.5 inches.

RL's are soo sweet. i cant stop feelin mine up. you will be looking at anywhere from 1-3-6 months depending on where they are in a production run. you got plenty of time to ditch the v10 and get a RL. THey require a $1000 deposite and your all set.

After the $1000 deposit, do I have to keep giving weekly or monthly deposits, or deposits of any sort?

Thanks, Dan

Man this is gonna be tough, seeing as I am only 16, and the VT state law says you can only work 17hrs a week, ohh well...

I guess I'll start up a bank account and start collecting al the interest I can, are stocks worth the money anymore?

Damn that thing is hot!
Where did you score the seismic hubs? They still sell those things? I think Cambria Bike had some. Anyway, I cannot wait to order mine. I dont know if I should order it now and only be able to ride the end of the season next year or wait...Decisions decisions....

I was thinking a gloss black RL with pink decals aswell, but I'll let you pimp that, maybe Gloss black and mint green?

Can we have a little hint of what it is we're waiting for? Did you scoop up one of the recent RL's or mini's for sale?? Bigger than a bread box? A photo of you tearing it up on your T'ster at Les Gets??

Holy stars man! New? Pre-enjoyed? From a distributor or factory direct? You tried to keep it a secret, huh? Couldn't hold back. I'd be the same way. Wow. What color? You going pink?? You said pink with black stickers up there...??

Can't wait to see it. Photos of it with the TMX too. In Les Gets, please, just like the first one you posted. Cool thanks. ;)

Whoa, my head is spinning. I'm both, ridiculously excited for the joy Millar is inevitably going to have on that bike, and unreasonably jealous another mini will not be mine. I change my mind monthly on the color I want my min-o-licious to be when I finally get it, which has been approximately 36 months worth of colors. I'd tell you what the choice is this month, but I don't want anyone biting my style, yo.
