There's about 150 i think. They are real BMW stickers.

I'll have to thank TMX aka CG for that.

Hope I don't get in trouble for posting this...
("trouble" is an understatement.)

eh-hem, there are ONLY 100 stickers there. comprendez? 100, only, right marcus? (sheesh, gonna be banned for life from the sticker drawer now.)

pic below is of my not-so-sly friend from denmark.

I was joking Miss Chrome. No worries.

I love showing off in forums but it's even better if someone else is showing me off!
That jump was like 30 feet long and probably 8 feet in the air. I did it on my old hardtail but it just broke in half. I would normally lay the bike much flatter over the jump but it was too windy. The lip was really dry and slippery too, so I kinda slid out before the jump, but I managed to hold on to it, and whip it a bit anyway.

I backfliped it yesterday, but the camera ran out of batteri just moments before I did it. Bugger...

macmx: u backflipped?? Dang :)

U know u just gotta do that one more time and eternalize it on film man!! It's an order :P

-----------------------------------------------

Corroding bolts: Well if these bolts I have on are stronger than stainless I just buy new ones - good thing they're slightly darker so they don't stick out too much.

-----------------------------------------------

It sure would be sorta suitable that this thread get's a forum subdivision of it's own :thumb:

Stickers! Stickers! Stickers!
well...what you quoted me on, was more directed at macmx and his hilarious quintessential internet balyoongha, boosting of his mad skills and saying the tape ran out right before he pulled it clean. can't say it wasn't funny you posted your sticker request in the interim.

the only tim in know in oregon is my brother and he doesn't ride (poor bugger, cuz he would really dig it and could REALLY use it.). but whoever you are, if i made false promises to you in a drunken stupor i apologize because i've since been locked out of the sticker drawer. maybe marcus will send you some of his bazillion. :sneaky:

i'm curious to know what level rider and type of terrain millar is rolling on his bike. if he's not racing, nor taking big speedy jumps, he will likely not encounter the bucking issue. hoping joel finds a re-valve helpful.[/QUOTE]

I'd like to think of myself as a pretty competent and experienced rider. I don't race more of a freerider, but do ride fast downhills, gaps and jumps and have taken the TMX off various drops up to about 20+ foot. I certainly wouldn't say I've not tested the frame! As I've said the specifically valved Fox seems to counteract the majority of the frame's problems.

.......... direct spray hosing as little as possible, but i'm sure that's hard to get around since you probably have muddy conditions regularly, or so i'm told......

Hey Chromey, you know I saw you in WV running around with that huber powered jet spray water hose washing down those BMWs, and I didn't see any WD40 laying around anywhere near neither!!! :p;)
btw don't forget you're hooking me up with purschasing BMW's headquarters when i hit my mid life crisis. Mebbe then i'd restore your sticker drawer priviledges :p :thumb:

It's good to see more people joining in on this thread, vs the 2 or 3 original maniacs that we were :)

Johnny Wad - Probabaly just the angle of the pic, but that front end on your racelink looks HIGH! Edd on his Racelink runs them at the very minimum level, seems the only way to get a managable front end out of it... For UK anyway, alot of our courses are tighter, not as flat out fast and open.

JohnnyW,

good to see you made it to this thread. Your bikes are sweet for sure!!

How is it riding/racing your Racelink with the lighter parts this year? He use to have a 2003 monter T and 24x3.0 Doublewides, among other things, which he changed early this year.

Hey my Race link is on a Rack off the floor.
Its a bad picture. sorry.
and i have a 888 8"set up in the Max position
I can lower the crowns to the mininum position , like 1/2 inch not much.
I plan to do it sooner or later.

Like i said bad picture and the bike is on a rack, not level ground.

yeah I finally made it. thanks for the comment Joel. its been a long t ime since we spoke last. how have you been, hows the bike>? It looks great!

My bike is sick,. I love it the way i got it set up. I am sure it can be better but I dont have much expierence with different bikes, so i cant really pinpoint what could be better or what to tweak,
I am the type to do the best with what you give me!!
I had it built up like a tank with 24's 3.0's and monster T and i still pushed that thing!
Now i lightened it up and I push it evn more. I am only learning now about the rear shock.. yes thats sad i know,
And I love my 888 compared to my Monster T, The adjustablity is amazing.
I am much faster now with ittoo. I had my doubts in the beginning but once i hit dirt it was on!
I still wanna play with my rear dropouts, I hear that having it in the front position it wheelies beter and more flickable. Just gotta figure out what tire and size to get.
The bike loves the air now too. it just wants to go. jumping is sweet,
I love it what can I say,
I did have some minor troubles but a trip to BMW headquaters and Its all good now!

oh yeah...do you have evidence to prove this hosing accusation?? seriously though, when it's caked in three inches of mud you gotta turn the hose on it. i always dried it off and wd40'd when i got home. hrmpphffff.

oh yeah, and 20 kooks is far better than just 2 or 3.

Fair doos man, I've got my 888s in the max position now, and there absolutely massive... I'l have to lower them for my RL. You're right about the adjustability on the 888s, even compared to my old shivers im really impressed.. much easier to adjust aswell, although im not too keen on the gold adjusters they pur on them!

NO NO , no accusations :) I honestly haven't met anyone yet who takes care of their bike as much as I saw/noticed you took care of yours. you get 10 :thumb: from me for loving your BMW as much as you do. you "deserve" to be riding that chromed rig, that's fo sure! :D

Ah maybe it's just me, but im not convinced. It used to be good, then there was a massive influx of MBUK Kids (In the UK, there like the all the gear no idea kids) who sprayed everything gold and started throwing the word "Pimp" around FAR too much. Really put me off all gold bits 'n' bobs.

Ooo, It has recently come to my attention about a gathering for brooklyn owners in the UK at Delamere... Ged the Uk brooklyn importer should be there, along with most people he's sold brooklyns too... Still in the Very early stages yet, but it sounds like it could be a very good day indeed. Really want to get some pics of all the brookys lined up, would be crackin'.

AR - That Brooklyn meeting sounds like it might be quite fun, Delamere's up by Chester isn't it? It's a fair ol' trek from London, but I might be able to arrange it.
Could you keep me posted, either here or SDR. Cheers.

Yeah man, no worries, i'l pm you on SDR with further details, really not too sure whats going down atm, and yes Delamere is up Chester way. If its a really long journey your more than welcome to crash at my gaff if its too much to do in one trip.

I feel i have to post up, my brooklyns VERY nearly done, been getting some pics of it being built through its stages, and its F*cking incredible. Pic's up within the hour!

Ah, took a little longer to build than expected.. Anywho, just trying to find the cable to grab the pics off the digi cam now, took it for a quick ride... F*cking wow. Looks incredible, feels and rides better. Can't really say much more, blown away, truely am.
