I hate doing this it takes too long. 2 days to do it. But it is the right way, touch up the paint pack the bearings. I rode it hard and put it up wet, like I do my women. Now it needs to be wined dined and 69ed. Whisper sweet nothings into the head tube "I Love You Baby".

maybe we'll finally get you in da family!!! yippee! Tony seems to be good folks and that would be an awsome bike to own! With your mtn8, get ready for what, a 70 pound bike? that's crazy. Im sure once you get that thing rolling downhill, it is soo much fun to ride.

If you do, please promise not to beat ppl over the head with the "bmws rule" mantra - the avy thing is funny but dont do the samething with bmw. OK? K!

I would love to try out the MTN-3 shock....always wondered if it is different than the DHS version...anyway...looks awesome but quite limited to which bikes it is possible to attach.... :)

yes. bike felt great. but i'm sure if i got my dhs valved that way and had about 11inches of travel and 3inch tires. it'd be comfy too. just stiffer and more adjustments. high and low. i'd love to play with one more.

can i fit one on my Racelink?

No - the shortest version is over 11" and as far as I know it will only fit the Big Link :(

I belive the big shock is 12 1/8 eye to eye. The DHS isn't in the same league just too small. The MTN 3 ramps like no other I just had this conversation with AJ an hour ago. I don't think I ever bottomed it, if I did I didn't feel it.

Why would anyone run anything else than an Avy ? Especially if you have a BMW I thought Avy was almost mandatory as a rear shock :thumb:

This is my quiver of Brooklyns. I sold the TMX about a year ago I'm looking to sell the the Big Link. I don't have room in the budget to hang on to them all, I wish I did. It's a sin not to see them riden. The Park and the FQ are kissing cousins didn't have the loot to build both soon though. If I'm ever up at my buddies in SF I'll let you ride the Hitman. I let people ride them all the time. I let a few guys up in Whistler ride the Biglink and Hitman. Letting people ride them is the only way to appreciate them. You just have to give me your wife and child as collateral. If I ever meet you I'll make you a beliver. Yes it is kind of cultish but there's no koolaid involved.
Hey tony, which bike do you like better, the big link or the hitman?

Can say which bike I liked more they're both gggreat. Tell you what if I had the Big Link I wouldn't have broke my collar bone that bike would have ate up my bad landing. But then again I wouldn't have been 20 feet up in the air on that bike. Oh and why in the world would you want to run anything but an Avy on the ass of your Brooklyn, NOTHING compares. Have fun sending back blown shocks.

hi there. last word i heard was that it's still being tested so not avail for some time. i can drop you a pm when i hear they're heading into production on 'em but hopefully they'll announce something on their site once it's underway. (HA!!! that would be way too efficient in the marketing department for them.)

curious though DHS, do you have chain issues or just looking for some more dope hardware from 16 powers?

crapper! sucks to hear but thanks for sharing. can you give the shop a call about this? while there could be minor set up issues that could eliminate (or drastically reduce) the problem where the guide won't be needed, i think they should be made aware of it. talk to doc. k? thanks.

I have never tossed my chain. Maybe I am not fast enough. Just some chain suck if I not lube it well. I keep my chain real short and use a sram deraileur.

Fast enough! Ha. I couldn't keep up with you when we took a run at Diablo...through the rocks and mayhem! I had a couple issues out of the blue last summer after riding the bike for 3 1/2 years without a single problem. Got stuck three times in a couple weeks. Turned out the cog used to replace the worn one was sub-par. I haven't had another problem with it since they replaced my cog with a newer cleaner brighter whiter fresher ... cog.

The bikes DHS is talking about are brand-spanking new with the new cog so hopefully the tech tips Doc can give him will remedy their issues...so they don't have to wait for the chain guide to finish testing and go into production.
