Mountain bikes have continued to evolve at a rapid pace, and the latest conundrum is handlebar width. Sometimes you need extra clearance when hauling ass through tight trees, or cutting corners in race stages as tight as possible, and you need a narrow handlebar width, such as 700mm. Other times, when rolling the bead off of your 650b wheels at max endurination speeds, you need full bar width: 900mm.
