this poll is for canadian monkeys. which party are you voting for at this time for October 14th election day?
yup the west coast decision will make this election day. the election is over hours before here in toronto before the polls close in vancouver. this poll will be open till election day i figure.Well I can't vote but the 'Anyone but Harper' box would be ticked by me
I'm shocked. Why the hell should my tax dollars pay for someone else's childcare? Have to work and can't afford to get by otherwise? DON'T HAVE KIDS.
Shocked that parents should be responsible for their own spawn? Imagine that. Either figure out how you can afford them, or keep it in your pants.I'm shocked.
It just sounds rather.....ummmm what's the word i'm looking for......Shocked that parents should be responsible for their own spawn? Imagine that. Either figure out how you can afford them, or keep it in your pants.
Last I checked, the Republicans seem to be about everything BUT personal responsibility. Oh, ignore my record. Do as I say not as I do. Let's bail everyone who made bad decisions out of their whole! It just sounds rather.....ummmm what's the word i'm looking for......

Hell Yes!!!!!!!!!! Its almost as good as RMRDo we really need to protect such fabulous programs as the red green show
I agree that it was mostly a waste of time (and money), but I don't see a non-confidence vote happening. With a stronger minority this time, it now takes the NDP, Libs and Bloc all agreeing to oust the Conservatives. Not gonna happen. Especially since they all know that Canadians will just turn around and vote the Conservatives back in again. And they'd likely be so PO'd that they'd give them a majority. The only party that gained from this election was the Conservatives; the NDP held on to their faithful union-oriented ridings and the Libs lost big. I voted Lib in my riding because I like our MP, but I'm not unhappy with the outcome. At least Harper won't go on a spending spree using Canada's Mastercard and let the next government make the payments, like the NDP like to do.It was a monumental waste of time, as predicted. The only positive part is that both the block and conservatives lost seats in Quebec. Sweet.
Look for Harper to possibly be out within 12 months on a vote of no confidence. He will not last a full term. Dion is definitely out in May if not before, although this election and social circumstances were clearly skewed in the conservatives favour (economic crisis, defense deployments etc).
Absolutely pathetic. If a person is too lazy or stupid to vote, then they'd better just STFU until the next time. There's no excuse for not voting.Oh yeah 55% voter turnout. Pathetic.
I have heard tons of people i see frequently, I went to school with, I work with etc., claiming that they are not voting because "all of the candidates suck". The one thing with Canadian politics is we have so many damn choices, you can always vote for someone. The candidate may not fit 100% into your world view, but there is certainly someone close...even for the stoners.Absolutely pathetic. If a person is too lazy or stupid to vote, then they'd better just STFU until the next time. There's no excuse for not voting.
:raiseshand:The candidates may suck, but many citizens in many countries would and do die for the opportunity to vote for a crappy, lame duck candidate.
Ya, you guys have right wing and more right wing. We're all over the map. I read that we had 19 different registered parties across the country.:raiseshand:
I wish we had the party diversity of canada here
It is a bit ironic (stupid?) that we have a federal party whose only purpose is to break away from Confederation. Only in Canada.I am unashamed to say I didn't vote. I live in a riding where the Bloc won by an overwhelming margin. It's pretty safe to say that my vote would not have made a difference. And like I said, I know nothing about what's going on around here anyway.
And no, I will not complain about it.
Hopefully you're at work on the day they put up the wall and sentry towers. At least I WORK in Ontario.........of course there's more french in that area than there is where I live.
You'll be lucky if that happens by the time your great-grandchildren are old enough to vote. I think that policy is in the fine print of every party's mission statement.ps. I am also waiting for an election where not every party is explicitly intent on screwing up the country.
