Yeah he had to have been cracked out, but the price is prolly like an extra 2000$ just for it's curves. carbon curvesPau11y said:I think someone was taking too much of something when he made the mold for the middle one.
Here here, I second that. And you can call me a horn dog.LeRoy said:Not to sound like a total horn dog but... THANK YOU! That pic is smoking, not to mention that the rest of the thread has some great Angelina snaps.
what do u mean by a carbon fork gaurd??? I'm sure you could just get some fiber glass cloth and epoxy it on to the surface after sanding to ruffen it up a but. Go to a good store that sells radio control airplane stuff.Pau11y said:Speaking of carbon stuff, anyone know how to repair a carbon fork guard that has damage at a corner? I think some of the carbon fiber is broken. Do I just slather on some epoxy, and cover w/ a sheet of plastic or is there something more esoteric I need to do?
If need, I'll shoot a pic for more clarity.
Well i was thinking get some epoxy from a hobby shop, it's the best for it. I say get a 15 -30min one. Just make sure you mix the 2 parts really well. You might want to, if it's really thick you can add some rubbing alcohol and it'll make it thinner and more speadable.Pau11y said:It's for a DH bike's dual crown fork. I have a Mr Dirt FAT fork that has carbon guards for the stanchions. I laid the bike down and the guard took it all. As a result it sorta desintegrated at a bend where it goes from a small dia to a larger dia.
Good idea about laying another layer of glass cloth. Epoxy resin paint if I remember right...?
