does anyone have any idea for a good cardio work out... and by this I mean, working out a certain heart rate for a what periods of time... gradually stepping up, etc... to the point that you tapper the week before a race, and peak for the race?
i'm doing spin classes, and busting butt at every class... but I've heard that this may not be the best approach, as the body can't sustain that level of intenisty for that many weeks (leading up to the race)
