My new DH steed has a 73mm BB and 150mm rear end.

i am wondering, is it going to be possible to use the cranks off my sunday, which has a 83mm BB (GRAVITY GAP DH CRANKS)

what issues will i face with chainline? my new frame uses an idler also.

can i just space out the idler and the cranks?

Yep, My M3 is 73 150. I used 10mm threadless headset spacer on the non drive side saint Cranks and took up the extra space.

Saearch for threads from myself and others related to specialized Demo cranks around spring time. There was another just a week or so ago..all in the DH forum.

This has been covered TO DEATH (sorry, but it is true).

Simple answer is that your particular config. sucks and your frame mfg did not think things through or designed your frame (and has not updated that design since) five years ago.

You can fab up your own spacers or buy the RF 73 -> 83 kit, and take the risk of your BB cup ripping out of your frame due to the lack of threads....or take the same option with a BB with more thread engagment....or go to (crappy IMO) truvativ cranks......or find an old set of ISIS (what your frame was designed around).
