Very unfortunate, I kinda doubt he was doping. EPO is normally the cause of heart attacks (in doping cases) because it causes your blood to thicken, at least when taken in large quantities. The EPO tests are pretty good, evidenced by the Tour last year, and I doubt many guys are using it.
