I'm looking to get back into racing adn need to get a new bike.
I'm looking at a Demo's among other bikes and would like to get a bike that fits better than my last one.
Being 5'8"- I think I am kind of inbetween the two sizes.
I've been on an older Turner DHR in a small and it fit very well, which makes me think I may be better off on a small frame.

You are far from inbetween. The small Demo will still be large enough for you. Remember it has approx. 1160mm wheelbase if memory serves and they probably didn't change it significantly. Combined with the unusual rearward BB pitch, your cockpit will be large enough if you don't mind the saddle a bit to the front.
All in all, if you prefer a relaxed and neutral DH geo, I suppose you look at the small or medium Devinci Wilson, or a Sunday.

I would definitely say a small frame as well. Im around 5 9, 5 10ish and i ride a small. The Demos are prettttty long.
