Tell us about the DH scene in Israel - I'm intrigued :)

Last year we had tow races
One in hanita , it was open to everyone.
And then we had a-red bull race in manara (the best place in Israel for DH)
Red bull bring a guy from the usa to build it and it was only for 30 riders that got invited from red bull. (Gladly I was one of them)
in those days I was riding for only two mounts.... so I wasn't that good :-(

This year we didn't had any race and maybe the hanita DH race will be canceled..... So....
we had to do something about it!!! a friend of my organized this race with a group of nice people from groopy.co.il, me and some riders helped and it was really good!!!
We was only 19 riders in this race (first try for doing a race on our own)
we hope to have more races like that on other mountains.

we find out that it's not so big deal to organize a race :-)

Where do you get the information about Hanita? It's realy gonna be canceld?

I finish in hope that the DH\FR scene in IL will grow and come to un expected demantion, becuse people like Oren (the race mannager), Gilad & Saar(The 4X mannagers) and more...

this guy took 1th in the race.
he took 5th place in the last MAXXIS cup race in spain :eek:

as you can see he is sponsured by redbull.
