Hi
I'm new to this site but it looks cool so far. I need some help i'm big into XC riding and racing but i love doing trials you know drops and stuff so i've been looking into a hardtail frame to buy i want to spent less than a hundred bucks on the frame. So i found this on ebay #1806323274 you can look at it. They say it's a K2 comfort frame unpainted selling for $20.00. A friend i know has a tig welder and can weld on some plates on the head tube to reinforce it. I weigh 200Lbs is this crasy sould i do it or look at something else. Is there a trials frame out there for less than a hundred buck.

Thanks alot JMAK

If it's any type of aluminum, don't do it. Steel, be careful. The tubing on steel frames is thin enough that your standard industrial TIG welder will burn through without the knowledge of the tubing.

I'd suggest saving your money and getting a good trials frame. Getting a crappy one will probably let you get frustrated and lose interest quickly. Right equipment for the right job. :)
