i used to do that because back in the day king would only warranty upper cups, but wouldn't warranty lowers(handle more stress, and have a higher failure rate)....so i ran my cups upside down knowing that if i had in issue i could send the "upper cup" into them....
I had a couple of those 3" Gazzalodis in my hands once, a loooong time ago. Instantly I started thinking of converting them in a couch or something like that... Holy crap, those things had more rubber than Pam Anderson on her rack!
