i used to have a MKIII

I ride Elka shocks on both my AM and Dh bikes and i'm a big fan of Elka shocks

I feel the MKIII does not need an elka shock...the way the linkage perform i simple RC shock works perfect with the bike.

MY MKIII was setup with an older fox RC and was perfect that way IMHO. Elka would work well but it would cost you more than the value of the frame for not that much improvement i would say.

I would agree to a degree...
I have an MK3 and a 7point. On my 7point I have a simple Fox RC and it works just fine. With the Mk3 I have the RP23 and I can notice a slight improvement in pedaling with the platform on. As I said though, it is slight. Too little to warrant an Elke.

I have a vanR on my MKIII now
I have the bike for 2 years now (had the old MKIII befor till it been stolen)
I love this bike. but I have times when I bottom it in the back and feel like the bike is broken
so I want to try a coil shock fo the bottomless feel.
what do you think?
